Declaration

I was just checking out the work of Dave Smith and came across the sweet brand Declaration.  I had to pick a few things up to support this awesome indie brand, aaaand fuel my tri-blend addiction.

I picked these tight jams up:

get you some right churrrr!

miles to go

Greg Kerr’s brand Miles To Go is easily one of my favorite brands.   The art direction is influenced heavily by literature- and the result is a couple dozen bangin’ shirts.

Perks of Being a Wallflower:

Text reads, ‘And in that moment, I swear we were infinite.’

Moby Dick:

Black Tri-blend american apparel, printed with discharge ink.  Tee shirt perfection.

If you’re looking for some new digs, christmas gifts etc, check Miles To Go

we could have been a great team.  either way, CXXVI makes some good stuff.

My first Interview // Galleria-T Launch

About a year ago a fancy gentlemen from Milan, Italy named Eric Hall of Galleria-T contacted me about purchasing a design (pictured below) for his first release, ‘The Weird and the Wonderful.’  12 months later it’s finally up for sale.

It’s obvious that Eric put a lot of effort into this brand before he launched.  He was even awesome enough to interview each designer about their piece.  Check out my first interview here.

I was more than excited to see my design modeled by someone with such a stellar mustache.

Be sure to check out the rest of the collection and you can purchase my design and others here.  These shirts are selling for $75 USD, but if you can use the code LAUNCHGT at checkout and receive 40% off.

Today I moved halfway across the country. Here is a picture of some mountains in north Carolina that I took during my flight. It would look cooler, but I accidentally deleted my hipstamatic app yesterday morning. It’s weird waking up in North Carolina, then going to bed in Oklahoma. It will be weird readjusting from the urban pace of Raleigh to the slower rural setting of Enid. Anyway, I am (have been for about a week) without computer- so I’m blogging from my iPhone on the trusty tumblr app- ultimately making this a giant run-on ramble. Well… I think I’ll go shower now!

p.o.s. X pearl jam

hey there, nice package.

you can toss me into the category of consumers that enjoys (awesome) packaging. falling into this category, i frequent a site called lovely package, a site dedicated to showcasing quality branding and packaging efforts.

i stumbled upon this gem of a company, hero kid (see packaging  below)

these dudes are based out of barcelona, and their focus is skateboarding and street art.   everything about them rules.  their designs, their quality, super good.  i would bro out in any of their crew necks.

not only are their designs, ethics, quality, and originality awesome- they also ship their garments out in those sweet art covered skull boxes (pictured like 4 inches above).

so, the moral of this post is this:

when i’m ready to spend some of my hard earned cash on new products, i’m going to be more inclined to choose brands like hero kids over the other company that mass produces and sells in the mall.  first of all, i don’t want to own the same shirt as every faux-surfer kid that has a surfboard rotting away in their garage.  second, these guys put more into their company.  they win me over.  i’d much rather have an awesome shirt and a cool collectable or unique box i can throw on my shelf or desk.

if you’ve read this far, check out a cool download hero kid has been nice enough to post here.  Print out your own skull box, and design it as something awesome.

I’ve already printed and designed 2 as my favorite twilight characters, edward and that weird brother of his that still has a hard time not drinking humans blood.  you know which guy i mean.  up next- ke$ha.
